1997 special

Due to serious lack of response for the planned Fan Favorie Special, the milestone episode for 550 will instead be dedicated to some awesome classics. And instead of doing a generic classic episode, I’ve decided to limit myself to one specific year.

1997 was the year Hong Kong became a part of China again and Bill Clinton was inaugurated for his second term as president of USA. In music the rap industry lost one of their greatest stars as The Notorious B.I.G. was shot dead in March and in pop music we had Hanson and Spice Girls as two of the biggest acts. But this year also saw great releases in trance music. Some of them also made it to the top of the regular hit lists, with «Insomnia» as one of the staple tracks of that year.
